The ScanX is a device that provides us with Digital X-rays. To you the patient, it will seem the same when having x-rays
taken. However, the film does not require a dark room to develop and instead is quickly scanned through
the ScanX to digitize the image. Digital x-rays require less radiation than conventional film, and
give the doctors more options to view images. The developed images are the size of a computer screen
and thus are great tools to help educate patients on aspects of oral health that would otherwise
be difficult to explain..
